Aircraft Mechanic - Seat Techs

Join a dynamic team working on the F/A-18E, F/A-18F, and Super Hornet aircraft, focusing on aircraft modifications and ensuring the optimal performance of military aircraft systems.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain various aircraft egress systems such as seat and canopy ejection, gaseous and liquid oxygen systems, ejection seats, fire extinguishing systems, and air conditioning.
• Remove and install oxygen system valves, gauges, converters, and regulators.
• Inspect, remove, install, and rig ejection seats, shoulder harnesses, and lap belts.
• Inspect, remove, install, and adjust firing mechanisms and cartridges for ejection seats.
• Perform daily, preflight, post-flight, and other periodic aircraft inspections.

Essential Skills:

• 5 - 7 years of recent experience in depot-level or heavy checks on aircraft.
• Experience in equipment overhauls and modifications.
• Navy or Marine Corp AME NACES certification is mandatory.
• Proficiency in maintaining egress systems and performing aircraft inspections.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Certification as a CDI or CDQAR.

Work Environment:

Operate in an open-bay, non-climate-controlled environment. You have the flexibility to work either the 1st shift from 5:30am to 2:30pm or the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, with optional overtime. Additionally, employees are eligible to expense $100 per year for steel-toed shoes.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
