You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide direct quantum technological support. You will mentor and learn from your teammates while deploying engineering solutions through client collaboration and internal projects. You'll utilize your expertise in quantum and atomic physics to implement, test, and evaluate quantum sensing technologies. You'll apply core principles, theories, and concepts to provide effective solutions for practical applications, and solve complex technical problems and deliver innovative solutions. You'll also operate with substantial independence and provide oversight or mentorship for your team's technical competencies, and collaborate effectively with minimal supervision, overseeing and mentoring junior employees as needed.

• Experience with a wide range of laser control or locking electronics, optical modulators, and laser system diagnostic tools
• Experience with absorption spectroscopy
• Experience with Python
• Knowledge of alkali metal spectroscopy
• Ability to drive practical science and engineering solutions to customer applications
• Ability to implement and comprehend optical, laser, or atomic physics experiments and perform measurements
• Ability to perform trade studies, down-select hardware, and make practical recommendations based on experience and literature
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics

Nice If You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with quantum mechanics, atomic physics, and quantum effects in sensing, including with scientific publications or conference presentations
• Experience leading and managing small to medium-sized engineering, integration, and test projects
• Experience with lasers, atoms, spectroscopy, and alkali metals
• Experience developing technology business plans and roadmaps, building and managing teams to execute projects, and overseeing resources
• Experience with RF or RF photonics, software defined radios, and low noise amplifiers
• Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills, to convey complex concepts to varied audiences
• Possession of strong collaborative skills, to work effectively with people of various backgrounds and expertise

Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).
