Advanced Practice Provider NP PA - Urology

Urology Position

This position is located in Austin, Texas. The schedule is days with a shared call schedule between three APPs, no nights or weekends. The EMR systems used are Athena and Cerner/Compass.

This job location is not currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

Responsibilities

As a PA or APRN, you will work closely with our Urologists and our care team to provide comprehensive urological care in both the hospital and clinic setting, which may include call duties (call differential pay) and opportunities for surgical first assist.

Position highlights include a combined inpatient/outpatient position and main locations at Dell Seton Medical Center UT and Health Transformation Building.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient history and performing assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, performing preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations, and patient care. Direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources, counseling and educating patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources, and documenting delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.

Education:

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
