Sterling Regional MedCenter has provided outstanding medical care to residents of northeastern Colorado and the surrounding area since 1938. This is a PRN Ultrasound Technologist position where you will provide ultrasound care in a variety of areas, filling in as needed to cover PTO and/or sick calls. Join a team focused on the success of its patients as well as its providers and employees.

This position performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures for one Ultrasound certification.

Core functions include performing all exams by following and verifying referring providers' orders, educating patients and families about procedures, performing and evaluating equipment quality control measurements, demonstrating competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures, maintaining confidentiality, and assuring the efficient operation of workflow in the department.

Minimum qualifications require national certification in one area of specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Uncertified new hires who are Registry eligible must obtain certification within 12 months of hire and image with an experienced technologist until they become fully proficient. BLS certification required.
