Accounting Manager - Department of Internal Medicine

Position Grade: 15

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree successful completion of at least 15 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or Master's degree (MBA, MHA, Accounting, or related)
• Experience with Banner Finance or comparable enterprise systems
• Proven ability to analyze complex data and present findings to non-financial audiences
• Proficiency in health system finance within an academic medical school, including budgeting and RVU tracking
• Experience creating financial tracking systems that provide non-financial leaders with clear insight into budgets, fund utilization and department/division-level performance
• Proven ability to summarize and present large, complex budgets in a clear, concise manner to a variety of stakeholders
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders
• High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism
