Remote Accountant

A client of Insight Global is looking for a remote accountant to support their financial operations within a nonprofit healthcare and academic environment. This accountant will play a key role in managing accounting tasks with a focus on foundation-based and philanthropic financial activity. They need to have an understanding and background of basic accounting principles. This role focuses on nonprofit accounting and day to day work might include reconciliation, month end close, journal entries, receivables, referral tracking, and ad hoc projects. The accountant will be responsible for preparing financial documentation that is ultimately reviewed by C-level executives, including deans and clinical leadersoffering high visibility and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to institutional decision-making. Day to day of this position is ever changing and no day will look the same. There will be certain aspects of the job that will be structured but there will be a lot of ad hoc projects that they will be thrown into. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is eager to grow into leadership, and offers flexibility and adaptability on being able to pivot to different ad hoc assignments. This position is remote but must sit in NC ideally in Winston-Salem and Charlotte area.
