Abatement Supervisor Eco Safe Abatement (Portland, Oregon)

Eco Safe Abatement is seeking a motivated team member to fill the role of Abatement Supervisor to lead our abatement crews in Portland, Oregon. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate abatement crews on-site, ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee daily abatement activities, including asbestos, lead, and mold removal projects.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and enforce all safety protocols and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including work logs, safety records, and compliance reports.
• Ensure proper setup and maintenance of containment barriers, decontamination units, and PPE usage.
• Troubleshoot project challenges and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track.
• Oversee the proper packaging, labeling, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Valid Supervisor Certification for asbestos abatement, in accordance with Oregon state and federal regulations.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on abatement experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or crew lead role.
• Proven experience running abatement crews on various project types (residential, commercial, or industrial).
• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or safety training preferred.
• Strong knowledge of abatement methods, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical exam.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and wear PPE for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

• Additional certifications (e.g., OSHA, HAZWOPER, lead safety, first aid/CPR).
• Experience with project management software and digital reporting tools.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
