Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to develop tailored legal strategies aligned with their business goals and needs through risk-based analysis and assessments.
Research and interpret applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure client compliance.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements (such as contracts with customers, vendors, and other third parties), operating agreements, ownership and equity agreements, and employment agreements.
Advise clients on a range of corporate legal matters, including entity selection and formation, corporate governance, and compliance.
Provide strategic legal guidance during mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other transactions.
Manage multiple client matters simultaneously while maintaining high-quality service and meeting deadlines.
Supervise paralegals, staff, and team members as required.
Active in business development, including involvement in professional organizations.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant in-house and/or law firm experience as a business and transactional attorney, 10 years' experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
Must be currently licensed in Nebraska or eligible to become licensed.
Other state licenses (especially in states within our footprint) while not required, will be considered.
Valid drivers license.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating various contracts and agreements.
Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to approach legal issues from a business perspective.
Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in managing competing priorities and working independently.
