ActALENT is hiring a team of pharmacy clerks! We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented pharmacy clerk to accurately and efficiently fill prescription requests. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will prepare, package, sort, and distribute medications in a fast-paced production environment. You will maintain a consistent workflow to meet daily production goals and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities include manually filling prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules, reading computer-generated screens to locate indicated medication on labeled shelves, verifying size and strength before filling orders, replenishing medication in automated cells to full capacity by opening large quantities of bottles and cases, using basic mathematical reasoning to count or calculate the appropriate number of units needed for prescriptions, utilizing a handheld scanner to scan product barcodes for replenishment, demonstrating problem resolution skills by recognizing, addressing, and escalating issues as necessary, maintaining focus and attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks with absolute accuracy, keeping the pharmacy floor clean and orderly, understanding and complying with federal and state HIPAA laws and pharmacy procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy, and processing orders for shipping, including folding/packing paperwork and attaching shipping labels.

Essential skills include a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs and consistently carry 20-30 lbs of merchandise, capability to stand and walk continuously for an 8-hour shift, proficiency in bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, and pinching, basic math, reading, and writing skills, and visual acuity for reading computer screens, handheld scanners, and labels. Additional skills and qualifications include working knowledge of pharmacy operations and professional standards, good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.

The role requires working Monday to Friday with shifts potentially falling between 3 PM and 11 PM EST. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
