Forklift Operator

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator who will be responsible for managing a variety of tasks such as receiving, picking, and maintaining warehouse goods and equipment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and organization of our warehouse operations.

Shift: 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm)

Pay: $19.80/hour (with room for growth)

Responsibilities:

• Receive and check incoming parts for accuracy from vendors, update the computer system, and place items in the appropriate warehouse location.
• Pick part orders in both low and high locations using an RF scanner and load orders onto production carts.
• Participate in cycle counting, bin/space consolidation programs, and maintain cleanliness of inventory and warehouse facility.
• Become cross-trained within the department and work in other departments as necessary.
• Identify potential or repetitious errors and verify the work of associates to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Adhere to company handbook and departmental rules, respecting fellow employees and prioritizing safety.
• Maintain warehouse equipment according to schedule and report any equipment issues immediately.
• Accept responsibility for actions and work performed, maintaining a positive attitude and teamwork environment.
• Participate in company-sponsored activities, such as suggestion programs and quality training.
• Perform other duties as required.

Essential Skills:

• Experience with sit down or stand up forklift operations for at least 1 year.
• Proficiency in packing and material handling.
• Experience with RF scanners and loading.
• Knowledge in shipping and receiving processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Adaptability to cross-train in various departments.

Our warehouse is a large, well-lit, and temperature-controlled facility. The environment is clean, organized, and automated with industry-leading efficiency and reliability. The facility is divided into manufacturing and production, employing approximately 150 individuals. Our products are known for their exceptional quality, akin to the Mercedes Benz or Lexus of their category.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
