2026 Management & Sales Leadership Program

Join the Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Leadership Program, a dynamic entry-level pathway designed to groom you for a Store Management role within 18 to 24 months. Embrace our promote-from-within culture and advance to an Assistant Store Manager position following your successful completion of the comprehensive 8-week training program.

This role involves a typical work schedule of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends.

As part of the program, you will work alongside store management to oversee a million-dollar business, providing the leadership and strategic insight needed for success. During the training, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of operations, clients, and internal strategies, making you a vital contributor to the team's performance. You will work to expand our market share through sales to large commercial clients, including painting contractors and purchasing agents who require substantial quantities of our premium products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete training aligned with the established curriculum.
• Support business strategies to enhance sales and maximize profitability.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our products to provide effective recommendations.
• Forge positive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
• Handle store administration tasks diligently.
• Ensure adherence to all policies, including safety and security protocols.
• Maintain an outstanding store condition and uphold visual merchandising standards.
• Support employee training and development initiatives.
• Address and resolve customer and employee complaints effectively.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to make external sales calls to expand market share.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• A valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• A bachelor's degree by the start of the program.
• Capacity to lift items up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• If currently employed at Sherwin-Williams, a minimum performance rating of meets expectations (3) is required.
• Completion of all mandatory eLearning courses for your current role, if internal.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
• One year in a leadership position or experience supervising teams.
• Experience in a team-oriented setting, including work or extracurricular involvement.
• Prior work experience in selling paint or related products.
• Familiarity with timekeeping and customer relationship management systems.
• Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
