Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologists to join our dynamic healthcare team.

Our convenient, walk-in centers provide a wide range of healthcare services including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. JOB SUMMARY:
As an X-Ray Technician, you will play an essential role in performing x-ray tests while utilizing your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure patient comfort and safety. This position involves operating diagnostic equipment, developing film, and preparing examination rooms with the necessary tools for each procedure. Additionally, you will assist with Medical Assistant duties, contributing to an integrated healthcare experience. Full-time staff will work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts during weekdays and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members will be scheduled as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The list of duties and responsibilities below generally reflects the expectations of this position but is not exhaustive. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

• Warmly greet patients upon entering the waiting area, examination room, or x-ray room.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding wait times and provide clear directions for the next steps in their treatment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve patient concerns and seek assistance in urgent situations.
• Execute timely follow-up calls with a sense of urgency.
• Assist front desk staff with patient check-in/check-out processes as needed.
• Accurately obtain and document patient vital signs, brief history, and other relevant information.
• Support patient transfers and assist with procedures under the direct supervision of the provider.
• Complete required documentation related to each patient visit thoroughly.
• Conduct timely radiology procedures for evaluation by the attending physician.
• Perform necessary quality control procedures to maintain high standards for x-ray exams.
• Prepare patients for radiographic procedures and adhere to established protocols for patient safety and care, including radiation protection measures.
• Ensure diagnostic equipment is maintained properly and report any malfunctions to management.
• Commit to continuous professional development to enhance your diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills.
• Maintain current licenses and certifications required for the operation of radiology equipment.

WHAT’S REQUIRED?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• AR State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification is preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
