We are seeking an OR Pediatric RN to:
Communicate and coordinate Operating Room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient care within policies, procedures, and standards and care plan to perioperative patients regardless of complexity.
Minimum Requirements:
Facility Requirement:
Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile including resume, *** profile, onboarding documents).
Experience:
Clinical Operating Room experience, pediatric nursing experience including including PICU.
Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
Licensure and Certification:
Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
BLS and PALS - must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
Reference
Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
Floating
Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
On-call Optional: Call response time of 45 minutes; 45 minutes from phone call, dressed in scrubs and reporting to charge nurse.

Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation.

36 hrs/week. Day/Evening, (3) 12hr shifts Monday-Friday. One weeknight of call per week, one weekend of call every 4 weeks. If contract coincides with a holiday, possibly holiday call.
