WASTEWATER UTILITY ENGINEER

Wastewater Utility Engineer

We are seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time Wastewater Utility Engineer position with an investor-owned public utility operating a wastewater collection system servicing the City of Atlantic City.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain wastewater collection systems.
• Ensure efficient operation of wastewater pump systems.
• Collaborate on projects involving sanitary sewer, stormwater, and municipal engineering.
• Utilize AutoCAD for design and engineering tasks.
• Participate in public works and water treatment projects.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in design and maintenance of wastewater collection systems.
• Proficiency in wastewater engineering and mechanical design.
• Knowledge of wastewater pump systems and O&M procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with municipal engineering projects.
• Understanding of stormwater and sanitary sewer systems.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and civil engineering design tools.

Work Environment

This position is full-time and onsite, Monday through Friday, with office hours generally from 9 AM to 4 PM, totaling 7-hour workdays. This is a Permanent position based out of Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $90,000.00/yr. Position is salaried with excellent benefits including: medical, dental, vision, group term life, short-term and long-term disability, pension, paid holidays and PTO. Salary range is $70,000 to $90,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Position is full-time and onsite, Monday through Friday and reports to the Vice President of Operations. A drug test and background check are required for employment.
