Job Description

As a Unarmed Security Professional - Government Patrol in Tampa, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting government operations at a dynamic location. Your primary responsibilities will involve monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors. By conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming atmosphere. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by performing security-related screening procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities, adapting to the unique environment of a government facility.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors while upholding security-related protocols.
• Document and report any suspicious activities, incidents, or non-compliance with established procedures to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
