Summary:

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring a supportive and efficient patient experience. You will operate advanced ultrasound equipment, perform a variety of imaging procedures, and collaborate closely with other imaging professionals to optimize patient care.

• Ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards from regulatory agencies.
• Perform ultrasound examinations efficiently to assist patient flow.
• Exhibit flexibility in work shifts and assignments at different campuses as needed.
• Ensure all exams are accurately scanned and stored in PACS.
• Act as a PACS Superuser, managing any downtime procedures and reporting issues as necessary.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems with appropriate follow-up actions.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program or an approved equivalent.

Experience

• Preferred 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Must obtain one of the following within 1 year of hire:
  • Sonography (S) by ARRT
  • Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS
  • Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) RDMS by ARDMS
• Prefer additional certifications such as:
  • Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT
  • Breast Sonography (BS) by ARRT
  • Breast (BR) RDMS by ARDMS
  • Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS
• State Licensure is required if in New Mexico
  • DMS by MIRTP NMED
• BLS certification is required.
