Title: Certified Surgical First Assistant
Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour

• Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 10:00 – 18:30 (Surgery)
• Wed: 07:00 – 15:30 (Birthing Inn)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide first assist support during surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses.
• Assist with C-sections in the Birthing Inn; must be available for OB and general surgery cases.
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and assist in the application of dressings, positioning, and patient care during procedures.
• Participate in rotating on-call shifts, including:
  • Two weekday on-call shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 24-hour call for C-sections)
• Maintain a 30-minute response time during on-call coverage.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Active Wisconsin or Compact Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) license (in hand at submission)
• Prior experience with C-sections and OB surgical procedures required
• Ability to work both in a general Surgery unit and a Birthing Inn setting
• EPIC experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with on-call responsibilities and able to meet the required response time
