Job Description

The IMCU unit specializes in the care of patients with neurological, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. Common diagnoses include COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative management. The unit is equipped to manage chronic ventilated patients with the assistance of respiratory therapists.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients within the IMCU.
• Monitor and manage critical patients with specialty equipment including temp pacers, chest tubes, A lines, and BiPAP.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Floating between units may be required based on staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
• Recent travel experience preferred.
• Active New York RN license and all RN licenses.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Skills checklist matching specialty required.
• 2 recent IMCU Charge/Manager RN references.
