Job Description

We are seeking skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide care in a skilled care unit within an acute hospital setting. The unit comprises 33 beds, including both private and semi-private accommodations. Care will be provided to patients with various diagnoses including weakness, fractures, and COPD exacerbations.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications and perform wound care.
• Perform procedures such as foley catheter insertion, IV management, peg tube care, and ostomy care.
• Provide patient care, including feeding, bathing, and pericare by CNAs.
• Assist in interdisciplinary team collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Attend to patient needs and maintain documentation in the EMR system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• BLS certification required.
• IV certification preferred for LPNs; competency assessment will be conducted on-site.
• WV Cares prior to start is required.
