**Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

**Patient Population:** Primarily Medical Surgical, Observation, and Telemetry
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. This position requires clinical expertise in a range of patient diagnoses and conditions, including observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical/surgical diagnoses, palliative care, psychiatric observation, and diabetes management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nursing care, effective communication skills, and the ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric patients in a telemetry setting.
- Monitor patient vitals and manage telemetry equipment.
- Administer medications and perform procedures such as blood product administration, IV starts, and wound care.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assess and document patient conditions accurately using the Epic charting system.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
- Float to other departments as needed based on patient census and unit demands.
**Qualifications:**
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting.
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and NIH stroke scale certification preferred.
- Flexibility with scheduling and adherence to a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and absences.
- Ability to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding.
**Compliance and Requirements:**
- Candidates must complete a full compliance file by the designated deadline prior to the start date.
- Required to fulfill background check and education verification processes through a third party.
- Local candidates living within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for this travel position.
- Must be willing to float to any campus as needed based on staffing requirements.
