Job Details
• Work in a high-risk Antepartum unit within a hospital setting,
• Float required to the Postpartum unit,
• Care for patients experiencing PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, PROM, twins, substance use disorder in pregnancy, and fetal demise or loss,
• No newborns are present on the Antepartum unit,
• Support bedside procedures such as amnio and sterile speculum exams,
• Handle PCA pumps, PICC/central lines, and syringe pumps,
• Administer Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate,
• Night shifts (3x12 hours), 19:00-07:30,
• Uses Epic EMR system,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license in WA or Compact state,
• Minimum 2 years of recent Antepartum or C-section circulating experience required,
• Advanced AWHONN, BLS, and NRP certifications required,
• ACLS certification preferred,
• Experience with Epic EMR required,
• Ability to circulate for C-sections and maintain central lines (CVC/PICC),
• Proficiency in administering anticoagulants, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy,
Additional Information
• Responsibilities include assisting with sterile speculum exams, labor management, and care for high-risk maternal patients,
• Must be comfortable caring for postpartum mothers with babies in NICU and supporting loss cases in both antepartum and postpartum,
• Scrubs of any color allowed; facility-provided scrubs when floating to Labor & Delivery,
• First time travelers are welcome,
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler,
• Former permanent staff at any Providence (non-Swedish) facility must have at least a 3-month separation before travel contract eligibility,
• Floating may occur between facilities within the state as needed,
• Minimal to no RTO is preferred; all RTO must be requested during submission and may impact contract approval,
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting are required,
