Radiology Technologist Job Details

Estimated Weekly Pay: $2430 - $2610
Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract (extension opportunities available)
Location: Alexandria, VA (Northern Virginia healthcare jobs)
Start Date: September 28, 2025
End Date: December 27, 2025
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Duration: 10-hour days
On-Site Position
Holiday Coverage: 1 major and 1 minor holiday (as scheduled)
Floating: May float to other facilities within the hospital network as needed
Scrub Color: Black

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (2 years preferred)
Dual modality experience in CT and X-ray required
Active Virginia State Radiologic Technologist License (must be valid at time of application)
ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
American Heart Association BLS certification required
Strong IV skills essential for clinical support
Experience with EPIC EMR and Fuji PACS preferred

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

Perform a range of CT and X-ray studies, including head, abdomen, pelvis, angiography, and extremities
Conduct routine and stat X-ray exams for diverse patient populations
Manage 0–15 studies per day (up to 22 exams on rare occasions)
Operate GE CT units and Philips X-ray equipment
Ensure accurate documentation and workflow using EPIC and PACS systems
Deliver excellent patient care and maintain a safe imaging environment
Float to other facilities within the hospital network as needed
Participate in orientation and ongoing radiology training
