Unit: K9-B Observation / Cardiac Stepdown
Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract

Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour night shifts)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Unit Beds: 20-bed cardiac stepdown unit
Patient Ratio: Night Shift 1:6 (stretch 1:7)
EMR: Cerner/Power Chart
Dress Code: Navy or white uniform options
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1650 - $1770

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
Telemetry certification
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or telemetry nursing jobs
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Med-Surg certification preferred

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in a 20-bed cardiac stepdown/observation unit
Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and respond to cardiac events
Perform nursing procedures: telemetry monitoring, Foley catheter insertion, IV starts
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
Float to other medical-surgical units as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner/Power Chart EMR
Adhere to hospital policies, attendance, and dress code guidelines
