Day shift, Monday to Friday, with 5x8-hour block scheduling from 07:00 to 15:30 or 08:00 to 16:30.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a Peri-Operative Endoscopy Registered Nurse in an Ambulatory Surgery Center. Join our dedicated team to provide high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, which include examinations and treatments for various gastrointestinal conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patient response.
• Handle and label specimens accurately.
• Conduct pre-procedure assessments, including obtaining EKG/ECG and starting IVs.
• Manage airway during recovery and ensure patient safety post-procedure.
• Assist in various endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and EGD.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Endoscopy preferred; strong candidates with less experience will be considered.
• MD RN license required.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS are required; NIHSS preferred.
• Preferred skills include administering conscious sedation, interpreting dysrhythmias, and familiarity with equipment used in endoscopy.
