Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring at least one year of recent ICU nursing experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a hospital
• Care is provided to pediatric patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• A strict 50 mile radius rule applies and no local candidates will be considered
• Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering prescribed medication, and assisting with minor diagnostic procedures
• Expected to collaborate closely with physicians, patients, and families to coordinate and share care plans
• Will document patient responses and changes in physician orders and delegate tasks to support staff
• Standard hospital scrub attire is required

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma or multistate compact RN license required
• Minimum of one year recent experience in an ICU setting
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association are required
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively respond to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
