Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU night shift position requiring current MO and KS or compact licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the Pediatric ICU of a children's hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• May float to Cardiac Med Surg floor and between Kansas City, MO and Overland Park, KS campus locations
• Patient population includes critically ill pediatric and cardiac patients
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Must pass a medication and dosage test during the first week with 100% accuracy (3 attempts allowed)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Any kid-friendly color or pattern scrubs may be worn
• Free parking is available with permit
• Nicotine-free and smoke-free campus with testing required
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be expected as needed
• Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level I Trauma and Level IV NICU

Requirements

• Active MO and KS or compact RN licenses required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience is required
• Current AHA BLS and PALS certifications required at time of consideration
• CVPICU experience will be considered
• Two supervisor-level references from the past 12 months are required
• Date of birth and social security number required for consideration
