Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse to provide compassionate and high-quality care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the PICU and familiarity with NICU practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with congenital cardiac defects, respiratory diseases, and post-surgical conditions.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as directed, including continuous sedation and vasopressor titration.
• Manage ventilators and provide care for patients requiring tracheostomy and GT tube management.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and monitor neurological status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of independent nursing experience with at least 80% in PICU and 20% in NICU.
• Current RN license in the state of practice (MD RN preferred).
• BLS and PALS certifications required; CPI certification preferred.
• Experience in a Trauma Level I setting is required; Trauma Level II experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is mandatory.
