RN – Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU)
Location: 3020 Children’s Way, San Diego, CA 92123

Shift Options:

• Nights: 3x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
• Days: 3x12-Hour (07:00 – 19:00)
• Variable schedule; must be flexible

Description:
Join a nationally ranked pediatric hospital’s CVPICU team, recognized as one of the Top 10 Best Children’s Hospitals in the Nation by U.S. News & World Report. The CVPICU cares for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients, including those with congenital heart defects and post–heart transplant cases.

Start Date: November 10 (no exceptions)
Assignment Type: Travel contract
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years recent CVPICU experience (pediatric cardiac required)
 

First-Time Travelers: Accepted if experience is strong
License: California RN (pending license accepted with ETA)
EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Certifications: BLS, PALS (National Certifications Required)
• Experience:
  • Pediatric cardiac & heart transplant care
  • Ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation
• Other: Must be cardiac trained; Flu shot required

Schedule Details:

• Weekends: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
  • Nights: Fri/Sat combinations
  • Days: Sat/Sun combinations
• Holidays: Must work 1 out of 2 major holidays (no holiday RTO approved)
• RTO Limit: Max 6 days
• On-Call: Not required
• Float: Yes, within scope as needed
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• Locals Accepted: No
