Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Behavioral Health night shift position requiring active MO and KS RN licenses and prior travel nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a pediatric behavioral health unit caring for children with behavioral health needs
• Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Floating may be required between campuses in the Kansas City, MO and Overland Park, KS locations
• Patients are primarily pediatric age group requiring behavioral health interventions
• Role involves providing behavioral health care to pediatric patients in both MO and KS hospital locations
• A smoke- and nicotine-free work environment is strictly enforced
• First-time travelers are eligible to apply for this position
• Must be willing to float and adapt to different unit needs across hospital campuses
• COVID and flu vaccination documentation may be required
• Active participation in ongoing hospital compliance and safety programs is expected

Requirements

• Active unrestricted RN licenses in both Missouri (or Compact) and Kansas at the time of consideration
• AHA BLS and PALS certifications are required; RQI certifications are not accepted
• AHA ACLS certification required
• At least one year of pediatric RN experience is preferred
• Travel nursing experience is required
• Must pass a medication/dosage test with a score of 100% within three attempts
• Two professional references from a supervisor completed within the past 12 months are required
• Date of birth and Social Security number must be provided at time of application
