Job Opportunity: Experienced RN for Level I Trauma Surgical Services

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team specializing in Level I Trauma Services. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a trauma surgical setting and be proficient with the Da Vinci Xi surgical system. This role requires strong abilities in robotic, general, gynecological, orthopedic, urology, and various other surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate in the general operating room while scrubbing and circulating surgical procedures.
• Function independently across multiple specialties, including Robotics, Orthopedics, General, GYN, Urology, Bariatrics, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Thoracic, and Trauma.
• Participate in call schedules, including 4-5 calls within a 6-week matrix with a 30-minute callback response time.
• Work weekends (4-5 shifts within a 6-week matrix) and major holidays as required by department needs.
• Care for COVID-19 patients as needed.
• Adhere to facility protocols including tobacco and fragrance-free policies.

Schedule Requirements

• 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) or potentially 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM).
• No block scheduling; includes floating block as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in surgical nursing required.
• Level I Trauma experience preferred; Level II Trauma experience required (at least 1 year).
• Proficient in the Da Vinci Xi surgical system; familiarity with the DV5 is a plus.
• Must possess current RN licensure with no hits.
• Epic charting system experience is heavily preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS (AHA or ARC only).
• Must be comfortable caring for patients of all ages, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
