Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room travel assignment in New Jersey, requiring at least one year of OR experience and an active NJ or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Surgical patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric
• Schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Uses Epic charting system
• May float to a sister hospital as needed
• Responsible for comprehensive and systematic assessment of surgical patients
• Provides direct perioperative care, including pre- and postoperative assessment and education
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely documentation according to facility guidelines
• Demonstrates safe patient handling, use of emergency equipment, and adherence to safety protocols
• Accountable for individualized patient care based on procedure type and anesthesia
• Participation in the interdisciplinary perioperative team is required

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Minimum of one year recent Operating Room nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
