Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a current CA license, BLS, and ACLS certifications for a day shift surgical position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the surgery department of a hospital
• 5 x 8-hour shifts per week with varying start times between 6:00 and 19:00
• Day shifts are typically from 06:00 to 15:00 or 10:45 to 19:00, Monday through Friday
• On call and call back required 1-2 days per week and every other or every third weekend, depending on experience and case load
• RN will circulate and assist in various surgical procedures as part of the OR team
• Call and call back responsibilities include both weekdays and weekends as scheduled
• Dress code and scrub requirements aligned with hospital surgery department standards
• First time travelers are accepted
• No specific local candidate radius requirements; local and travel rates are the same

Requirements

• Active and current CA RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Previous acute care hospital experience required
• Experience with DaVinci Xi is preferred
• Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP), which may be completed via online resources or employer-provided methods
