Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Operating Room position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring 3 years OR experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Operating Room with 41 OR suites
• Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week starting at 18:45
• Weekend coverage required based on unit needs with occasional float to weekends
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to other ORs within the facility
• Types of cases include General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgeries
• Epic EMR system used; Epic experience is required
• 13-week contract assignment
• Responsibilities include circulating and assisting in a variety of surgical cases
• Pre-start training modules are required and must be completed before the assignment begins
• No blocked scheduling requests will be approved
• Maximum of 10 days of RTO allowed per contract, with no RTO approved during specified blackout periods
• Dress code and scrub color details will be provided during onboarding
• Local candidates living less than 75 miles from the facility are eligible but pay rate may differ
• Applicants on a Do Not Use (DNU) list are not eligible

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years recent Operating Room nursing experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma setting is required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Candidates who have been employed by UCHealth or any of its affiliates in any capacity within the last two years are not eligible for consideration
