Radiologic Technologist - Evening Shift

Schedule

Evening shifts from Monday to Friday, 1500 - 2330, with every 3rd weekend also covering the same hours.

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position. The Radiologic Technologist ensures accurate and timely evaluation of radiology procedures, equipment, and staff, providing reliable service to employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. The focus will be on activities that enhance customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, including operating room procedures as requested.
• Establish effective communication with physicians, radiologists, and other departments to ensure quality patient care.
• Adhere to safety procedures and radiation safety practices according to ALARA principles.
• Maintain a working knowledge of UHS information service systems.
• Provide patient education and thorough documentation for quality care.
• Comply with hospital policies regarding incident reporting.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• NYS Radiology Technologist license.
• ARRT(R) certification.
• BLS Certification from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross.
