Radiologic Technologist - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 5 nights per week. Rotation will start on a Sunday night at 11 PM - 7 AM.

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist ensures that evaluation of radiology procedures, equipment, and staff are administered accurately, timely, and reliably. Focus is on activities that directly affect customer service, serving a variety of stakeholders including employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures as well as operating room procedures as requested.
• Establish effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, and ancillary departments to ensure quality patient care.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and radiation safety practices according to ALARA principles.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of UHS information service systems.
• Provide patient education and thorough documentation to ensure high-quality care.
• Adhere to appropriate clinical principles and methods while performing or supervising imaging procedures.
• Comply with hospital policies and procedures, particularly regarding incident reporting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• NYS Radiology Technologist license.
• ARRT(R) certification.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
