Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of acute care experience for a day shift inpatient rehab position requiring a Colorado OT license and AHA BLS.

Responsibilities

• Work in an inpatient rehab setting as part of a physical therapy team
• 10-hour day shifts scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm
• Floating may be required to any facility within a 60-mile radius or designated float zones
• Patient population includes individuals with musculoskeletal, neurological, and neuromuscular conditions
• EPIC is used for electronic medical records and familiarity is preferred
• Perform evaluations, develop and modify treatment plans, and use a range of evidence-based OT interventions
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to establish goals and support discharge planning
• Provide education, participate in training and mentoring, and maintain comprehensive documentation
• Flexibility required for floating to other locations, working weekends, and meeting unit needs
• Flu vaccination required during flu season unless a medical exemption is provided
• No local travelers permitted; candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master's degree preferred
• Active Colorado Occupational Therapy license required if applicable
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Previous experience in outpatient, inpatient, or inpatient rehab setting preferred
• Ability to float to other facilities within the specified region as needed
