Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a KY or compact license and strong MS/Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry cases
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Bi-weekly orientation is provided
• 36/48 hour weekly rotation schedule
• Travelers must not reside within 100 miles of the facility
• No on-call requirements specified
• MS/Telemetry RNs are expected to carry out care for a diverse patient population
• Travel pairs are not allowed unless exceptions are made for unit needs
• No local candidates accepted due to radius rule
• Orientation starts bi-weekly
• Assignment confirmation must be completed within 24 hours of accepting an offer
• No previous employment with the facility required

Requirements

• Active KY or compact state RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years current Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Must provide copy of Driver’s License for consideration
