Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift (3x12.0)

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment.

• Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission, creating an individualized plan of care.
• Identify patient teaching needs and goals by collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and ensure direct patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission, anticipating discharge needs.
• Communicate changes in patient status efficiently among the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and ensure a safe work environment.
• Contribute positively to unit operations by maintaining communication with management regarding supply needs and clinical training.
• Assume charge responsibility following the orientation period when requested.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (specific to certain locations).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience highly desired.
