*ASAP START DATE*Job Description:Unit: 5N PostpartumShift: Nights, 7:00pm-7:30am (NO block scheduling).Must have acute care experience.Must work every other weekend.Must work every other major holiday.Flu vaccine required during season.Scrub Color: Scrubs are provided.Orientation: Hospital system wide orientation 3 days; 3 days on unit.On-Call Requirements: Not required; they do call for volunteers to cover vacant shifts, if needed.Floating Required: NoUnit Specifics:Common patient diagnosis: Post vaginal delivery; post c-section delivery; intermittent post-partum magnesium or postpartum hemorrhageRequired Drips & Medications: IV antibiotics; IV magnesium intermittently, PRBC; rhogam, lovenoxSpecialty Equipment: Welch Allyn blood pressure; Nihon Khoden; venodynm machine; IV pump; panda warmer; Medela Breast pumpPatients: NewbornNumber of Beds in the Unit: 13 Postpartum and 4 Continuing Care NurseryCurrent AHA BLS & NRP required. Lactation certification preferred.EMR Exp Preferred: EPIC
