Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position specializing in general, GYN, GU, ENT, and vascular cases with backup and weekend call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based operating room with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Surgical specialties include general, GYN, GU, ENT, and vascular procedures
• Patient population includes adolescent, adult, geriatric, and minimal pediatric cases
• There are 20 operating rooms and daily coordinators for each specialty for support
• Uses Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system
• Shifts include 0630–1500, 0700–1530, 0700–1730, and 0700–1930 options
• Backup call after 1530 or 1800 may be required
• One night of call per weeknight and weekend call every 4th or 5th weekend
• Travelers may be required to float to other facilities within the Central Region
• Orientation and buddy support provided as needed during onboarding
• Hospital-provided scrubs are required
• Patient volume varies by case, single patient at a time
• Team includes coordinators and specialty support staff

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current CPR certification required
• Experience in general, GYN, ENT, and vascular surgery required
• Robotic experience in GYN and general surgery is preferred
