Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or valid compact state license
Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an OR RN in a hospital or surgical center
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
Proficient computer skills for electronic documentation and online learning (or ability to obtain within 90 days)

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to surgical patients and families
Manage daily patient flow and ensure safety, satisfaction, and quality care in the operating room
Triage patient needs and provide perioperative education to support care plans and wellness
Delegate nursing care in accordance with Colorado nursing statutes
Utilize strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in surgical procedures following safety protocols
Collaborate with surgeons, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining HIPAA compliance
Uphold organizational values and contribute to a Just Culture in the workplace
Perform additional nursing duties as assigned
