Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring proficiency with DaVinci cases and active IL and IA RN licenses.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Operating Room setting
• Must be comfortable handling all surgical case types except open heart
• Use of DaVinci robotic surgical system is required
• Epic EMR is utilized in this facility
• On-call required: one shift per week from end of shift until 0630, and one additional shift per week from end of shift until 1900
• Involvement in diverse surgical specialties except open heart
• Must provide safe and effective care as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• Holiday work required for 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Only one day off may be requested between 11/26/25–11/30/25 and 12/23/25–1/2/26

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Active IA RN license required, or proof of application for an IA single-state or compact RN license
• Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications are required
• Minimum of 2 years prior Operating Room experience is required
• Must have proficiency with DaVinci robotic surgical equipment
• At least one completed travel nursing contract is required
• One supervisory reference from within the last 2 years is required
