Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position with 1-1 nurse-patient ratios and weekday AM shifts.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital-based Operating Room setting
• General surgical patient population with a focus on General OR; trauma and ortho experience is a plus
• Unit consists of 15 beds
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1-1
• Uses Cerner for charting
• Scheduled for AM shifts with 8-hour days
• On-call required once per week
• Weekend work required one weekend every six weeks
• Float as needed within skillset
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Assignment is for 13 weeks
• Completion of required compliance training and modules is necessary within 90 days of hire
• Compliance with work hour and assignment break requirements for returning employees/travelers is enforced

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must provide documentation for COVID-19 and Flu vaccination; medical/religious exceptions accepted
• Experience in general OR required; trauma and orthopedic experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
