Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN in California with a current CA RN license and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital setting
• Serve a diverse surgical patient population including trauma, orthopedic, vascular, neurological, ENT, thoracic, and general cases
• Utilizes Cerner EMR system
• 12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night schedule (7p-7a and 11a-11p), with on-call requirements during weekdays and weekends
• Expected to take call 3-4 times within a 4-week schedule
• Must pass Relias Dysrhythmia exam prior to offer (if required by facility)
• Testing on sterile technique for Foley catheter and central line dressing changes may be required during orientation
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year
• Orientation includes 12 hours
• Copy of driver's license required for onboarding

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years recent OR RN experience
• COVID vaccination required per hospital policy
• Two professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
