Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of recent OR experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the operating room of an acute care hospital setting
• Patient caseload includes ortho, neuro, urology, general, and thoracic cases
• Handles a varied case volume of 20-40 per day
• Utilizes DaVinci XI robotics for general, urology, and thoracic procedures
• Rotating shifts with 8-hour shifts starting at 6:30am, some shifts running to 3:00pm or 7:00pm
• Hospital operates 24/7; no on-call requirements
• Thirteen-week contract assignment
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve)
• RTO requests must be submitted up front and cannot be requested after offer
• Team performs a high volume of complex surgical cases across multiple specialties
• References required during compliance, not for consideration
• First time travelers will be considered
• Must submit badge photo upon offer acceptance

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years recent OR nursing experience
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• Perm staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break before reapplying
