Job Description

The Apheresis Registered Nurse will be responsible for the coordination and performance of blood component procedures such as cell collections and plasma exchanges for both ambulatory and inpatients. This position requires strong interpersonal communication, flexibility, organization, and excellent IV skills. The candidate must collaborate with various healthcare team members throughout the hospital, independently coordinate patient care, and work within a small care team. The role also assumes charge nurse responsibilities, actively participates in unit/service activities, and supports co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform blood component procedures.
• Work with both ambulatory and inpatient patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York RN License
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Telemetry experience
• 1 year of inpatient care experience
• 1 year of Apheresis experience
