Job Title: Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN)**Job Summary:

A Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized, compassionate care to infants, children, and adolescents, addressing their unique physical, emotional, and developmental needs. Pediatric RNs work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, outpatient care centers, and homes, delivering care that focuses on prevention, treatment, and recovery for young patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for pediatric patients.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions specific to pediatric patients, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
Monitor vital signs, growth patterns, and developmental milestones, identifying any potential health concerns.
Collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment.
Educate patients and their families on pediatric health conditions, treatment plans, and strategies for managing care at home.
Provide emotional support to pediatric patients and their families, helping to alleviate anxiety and promote a positive healthcare experience.
Monitor and respond to acute and chronic medical conditions, ensuring timely interventions and appropriate care.
Maintain accurate, thorough documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes.
Administer immunizations, perform screenings, and provide health education on wellness, growth, and development.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development to maintain expertise in pediatric care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advocate for patient needs and provide family-centered care.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
Licensure:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Certification:
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience: Previous experience in pediatric nursing
