Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30) per week
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1770-$1900
Charting System: EPIC
Scrubs: Blue (provided)
Orientation: 32 hours onsite

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of NICU nursing experience (Level III NICU preferred)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Jersey RN license preferred)
BLS and NRP certifications required
Experience with arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), neonatal dosage calculations, and feeding methods (bottle, breast, gavage)
Proficiency in managing neonates 29-34 weeks and above
Experience with UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter) placement/management
Familiarity with isolation precautions and care for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

NICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates and infants in a Level III/IV NICU
Monitor, assess, and document patient status using EPIC charting
Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform specialized neonatal procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
Educate and support families throughout the NICU stay
Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training onsite
