Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Med/Surg RN)
Location: Sterling, Illinois
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts
Hours per Week: 36
License: Current and valid RN License in Illinois

• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience preferred.
• Schedule: Must be flexible to fill gaps in the schedule; no blocked scheduling.
• Skills: Strong clinical judgment, communication, and time-management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and individualized patient care in the Medical-Surgical unit.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and progress.
• Administer medications and perform procedures as per physician orders.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation following hospital policies and standards.
