Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2080
Patient Ratio: 1:5 to 1:7
Floating: Required to other units as needed
Charting System: Epic EMR
Scrub Color: Navy and white combinations
Holiday & Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend and holidays required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand (required for all NY nursing jobs)
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
BLS certification (AHA)
Proficiency with Epic EMR (required)
Ability to float to other hospital units
Must reside more than 75 miles from Rochester, NY

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals post-PCI, pacemaker, AICD, post-MI, and those receiving cardiac pharmacological interventions
Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; participate in Rapid Response and Code teams
Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and manage peripheral lines
Oversee respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management
Implement isolation precautions and follow infection control protocols
Accurately document patient care and assessments using Epic EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
